The Caruso Home Team
Meet the team that makes it happen for satisfied Caruso homeowners every single day.
Jeffrey Caruso brings more than 30 years’ experience in the building industry through planning, building and developing over 60 projects throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. Jeff graduated with honors with a Master’s of Science in Building Construction and a Masters of Real Estate and Urban Development.
As CEO of Caruso Homes, Jeff is the sole proprietor responsible for all aspects of the business. Jeff started Caruso Homes with a single home site and grew the operation to a sophisticated building development operation constructing over 250 homes per year and controlling over two thousand additional lots.
Through the use of creative joint ventures in the mid-90’s, Jeff grew the company in a depressed real estate market associated with the last big housing correction. Under Jeff’s leadership, Caruso Homes grew to annual revenues in excess of $150 million with profit margins in excess of $20 million in Caruso’s best year. Caruso Homes was also recognized as America’s Best Builder in 2006 by Builder Magazine. In the recent economic correction, Jeff has led Caruso Home through a restructuring of debt and re-sizing of the company to produce the current rebound of the homebuilding operation.
Jeff has also participated as an active member of multiple local builder associations including ULI (Urban Land Institute), MNCBIA (Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association), NVBIA (North Virginia Building Industry Association) and NAHB (National Association of Homebuilders). Jeff is an expert in all aspects of development and construction with many designations including a MIRM (Member, Institute of Residential Marketing), CAASH (Certified Active Adult Specialist in Housing) and he is a member of 50+ Housing Council. Jeff is also a director on the board of MNCBIA and the Acting President of his NAHB Builders 20 Club. The NAHB also elected Jeff to serve on the 50+ Council Board of Trustees.

He has combined his 15 years of Land Development, Heavy and Commercial Construction and Project Management experience with the home building industry and utilizes a professional and technical approach to the management of the Company.
